Recognizing the challenge this posed to the industry, the U.S. Department of Agriculture released information about their MDARD grant. This grant will “cover costs for workplace safety measures, retrofitting facilities, transportation, worker housing, medical, and market pivots” processors struggled with during the first two years of the pandemic.
